How can someone I was once so close to be so distant?
How could a human being be so cold and unloving almost
Like a robot with no heart feelings or emotions, the thought
Of the transition we went through still hurts, what makes it worse is
That it happened so fast…..The Distance like looking across a Barren land
That has no promise of ever ending or walking on a road that constantly grows
Longer with each step making the journey pointless, I realize the way
We use to be will never be again ….The distance like cement it seals our fate and
Like walking through quicksand it takes away our chances of reaching the end.
So, why? Why am I hurting?? Over a goal that is unobtainable, my memories of you
Consuming me at the moment is what makes me wish I was brainless something like
The scarecrow from the wizard of oz even if I had Dorothy’s shoes I wouldn’t wish myself
Back to you because just like the lion you were a coward and the only thing keeping me from
